Vijayawada: Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi was a Nastik and follower of Periyar and actively participated in the Indian politics for more than 7 decades, said Melam Bhagya Rao, National General Secretary, Dalit Bahujan Front here on Thursday.
He participated in the condolence programme of Karunanidhi. The meeting was presided over by KVPS convener P Rajesh. It was organised jointly by Dalita Bahujan Front, KVPS and Kapunadu.
The organisers paid floral tribute to Karunanidhi and shared their views on the occasion.
KVPS leader Andhra Malyadri and others demanded that the government honour Karunanidhi with Bharata Ratna.
DHPS State Secretary Butti Rayappa, Kapunadu leader L Krishna Prasadam, Dalita Bahujan Front leaders K Ramu, Neelam Pullaiah, Nata Raju, P Sudhir, K Devi, S Jhansi and others participated.
