Rajamahendravaram: City BJP MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana has said that the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is a great loss to the country as well as to the BJP also.
Paying tributes to Vajpayee at Fortgate here on Friday, he said he was a glaring example for sincerity, honesty and simplicity. He elected to Lok Sabha for 10 times and for Rabha Sabha for 2 times.
As Prime Minister of the country, he elevated the country's fame to new heights in the world. He held Prime Minister post thrice-- 13 days, 13 months and finally for five years.
During his tenure, many development activities and welfare schemes were executed in the country. Pokhran atomic test created sensation in the world. As Prime Minister also, he used to mingle with all, including MPs freely.
He was an inspiration to the present politicians in the country and underlined the need to emulate the great person. BJP leaders KB Singh, A Gopi, LB Sastry, R Sridevi and many others were present.
