Eluru: As part of Jana Sena Party service week to mark birthday celebrations of the party leader and cine hero Pawan Kalyan, notebooks, pens and pencils were distributed to poor schoolchildren at Venkatapuram here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the JSP leader, Nara Seshu informed that on the fifth day of service week they chose to supply study material to children belonging to poor and weaker sections.
They were organising the service activity in association with Eluru Smart City Lions Club, he informed.
Seshu made it clear that no cake cuttings and gaudy programmes were conducted so far.
Even for the remaining two days of the week, they would indulge in service activity as per the wishes of the party chief.
A free medical camp would be organised in flood-affected YSR Colony under Venkatapuram Panchayat would be organised on Saturday, the sixth day of service week.
Reputed medical practitioners would attend the medical camp.
Spectacles and medicines would be given to the poor patients free of cost, he added.
