Vijayawada: To mark Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, ‘Handloom Bazaar’ would be organised under the aegis of Andhra Pradesh Craft Council at PVP mall, MG road here from September 29 to October 3, said Craft Council joint secretary Ranjana here on Thursday.
She said that about 20 handloom workers would display their produce at the expo. Mangalagiri, Venkatagari, Uppada, Ponduru khaddar, Kalankari, Pochampalli, Sattenapalli, Polavaram, Peddapuram handloom textiles would be displayed at the five-day Handloom bazaar. Kondapalli toys will also be on display, said Ranjana. Council members B Sujatha and G Rashmi were present. A poster was released on the occasion. The denizens can visit the stalls from 10 am to 9.30 pm till October 3.
