Visakhapatnam: As a part of ‘Parakram Parv’, the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) will organise a host of activities in Visakhapatnam, including exhibitions of ships, submarine, aircraft models and weapons, display of photos and streaming of videos depicting valour of armed forces.

The celebrations would also include a public performance of Naval Band and visit to naval ships by school children and cadets of NCC. 'Parakram Parv' is being observed from September 28 to 30 across the nation to commemorate the second anniversary of surgical strikes to showcase the gallant action of brave soldiers in the conduct of surgical strikes on September 29, 2016.

As part of ‘Parakram Parv’, an exhibition is being organised on the front lawns of TU Aircraft Museum on the RK Beach, Visakhapatnam, which will showcase models of ships, submarines, aircraft and weapons.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Rear Admiral Deepak Kapoor, Chief Staff Officer (personnel and administration), ENC, and will be open for public from 2 pm to 8 pm on Friday, from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday.

Videos depicting military operations and life onboard ships will also be streamed in the exhibition. In addition, Naval Band will also be performing at the exhibition venue on Friday and Saturday from 5 pm to 6 pm.
