Kakinada: Rich tributes were paid to ‘Shahid’ Bhagat Singh on his 111th birth anniversary by BJP activists and party leaders at his statue in Ramakrishnaraopeta here on Friday.
The BJP leaders hailed the courage and patriotism of Bhagat Singh who fought the British Colonialism and imperialism.
They said that Bhagat Singh died for the country on March 23 in the year 1931 at the very young age of 24 years when he was hanged in Lahore jail by the then British Rulers.
The party leaders P Ravi Kiran, P Venkatanarayana and others participated.
