Meritorious students given awards at Viswasai

Nellore: Founded on the noble principles of Satya Sai, Viswasai Junior college helps students achieve higher goals, said Intermediate regional supervisory officer S Sathyanarayana. He was speaking as chief guest here at Merit awards presentation ceremony organised by Viswasai Junior College at Kasturi Gardens on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he congratulated the college as 500 of its students have secured medicine seats from 2012 to 2018.

This is no mean achievement, he said. This is only due to discipline, expert teaching and stress-free practices of junior college that so many students have succeeded in getting medical seats, he said. He hoped the number reaches 1,000 very soon.

Prominent cardiologist Srinivasaraju advised the students to continue the same efforts they have shown in getting medicine seats during their professional life to excel in life. Speaking on the occasion, BITS Pilani Prof YVK Ravi Kumar said that engineering students should observe new technologies being adopted in the industry apart from studies.

He blessed the students who were given merit awards on the occasion. College principal and vice-chairman also spoke on the occasion. Cultural programmes were held after the award presentation. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, elders of the town and others were present on the occasion.
