Inter girl commits suicide
An Intermediate second year student committed suicide by hanging to a fan hook at her residence near Madhurwada under PM Palem police station limits on Friday
Visakhapatnam: An Intermediate second year student committed suicide by hanging to a fan hook at her residence near Madhurwada under PM Palem police station limits on Friday.
According to PM Palem Circle Inspector Lakshmana Murthy, the deceased was identified as S Meenakshi (16), pursuing intermediate second year at Bheemili college and was a native of Vencherla mandal of Srikakulam district.
She was residing at Swatantranagar near Madhurwada, police said. According to CI, the girl fell in love with R Ajay, who was an accused in a murder case took place in March 21, 2016 and recently, the court had given verdict in the September 25 and police kept Ajay behind the bars.
Ajay fell sick in jail and admitted to KGH. Meanwhile Meenakshi visited Ajay at KGH on Thursday along with her sister and returned to her home. Later the parents of Meenakshi scolded after knowing that she met Ajay.
Upset over the incident, the girl committed suicide by hanging herself to a fan hook in her house. The family members who noticed that she was hanging to a ceiling fan informed to police. Later, the police brought down the body of deceased and shifted the body to KGH for post-mortem. A suicide case was registered.
