Municipal workers organise rally in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Hundreds of municipal workers took part in a protest rally starting from Tummalapalli Kalakshetram to Dharna Chowk demanding that the state government solve their problems.

The leaders demanded the government to cancel GO 279 and regularise their posts.

Speaking on the occasion, CITU leader Mujeeb alleged that the Chief Minister had promised to regularise all the municipal employees working as outsourcing employees and contract employees prior to 2014 elections.
He demanded that the government cancel GO 279 and do justice to all the municipal employees.

Even after four-and-a-half years, the TDP government took no action to solve their problems.
