Vijayawada: NCC would contribute to develop discipline among the youth, said 8th Andhra Naval Battalion Commanding Officer Colonel Khaja Shaik. He said that all the students should develop service sense towards the country apart from discipline. He was the chief guest of NCC ‘C’ certificate distribution programme to the students of Maris Stella College, PB Siddhartha Arts and Science College and Andhra Loyola College on the NCC Unit premises here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Khaja Shaik said that by joining the NCC, hidden talent from the students would come out transforming the students as good future citizens of the nation. He said that students obtaining C-Certificate would be given priority in State and Central government jobs besides jobs in police department. He said that the unit organised free swimming training at Gandhinagar swimming pool for the students, he added. NCC unit superintendent Kondal Rao, senior assistant Nagendra Devi, PA staff and others were present.
