The recent decision taken by the Telugu Desam high command has caused for differences between the leaders in Salur constituency

Salur (Vizianagaram): The recent decision taken by the Telugu Desam high command has caused for differences between the leaders in Salur constituency.

During his visit to Salur, TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu has appointed R P Bhanj Deo as party in-charge of Salur constituency. Currently YSRCP MLA P Rajanna Dora is representing the Salur Assembly constituency.

The TDP high command has directed the Bhanj Deo to work hard to win in the next elections against Rajanna Dora. The assurance of TD high command has ignited flames in the local leadership. Gummadi Sandhya Rani, who is also hailing from the same constituency and working as MLC is expecting the MLA ticket.

Though Sandhya Rani has two more years of service as MLC, she is expecting MLA ticket and wants to contest in the ensuing elections. But the present scenario seems to be against her wish and now she is sulking with the leadership. Even she is not interested to share dais with Bhanj Deo and simply skipping party programmes.

Recently she did not turn up for inauguration of party office in Salur constituency. Even some of the councilors and supporters of Sandhya Rani from Salur municipality are maintaining good relations with the YSRCP leaders and are planning to join the party.

But the locals are suspecting that as per her advises and directions only, they are in touch with the YSRCP and they are going to work against the instructions given by the TDP and work against Bhanj Deo.

Now, the local TDP unit is split into two groups and they are trying to get an upper hand on each other. Recently, the party high command had organised a meeting with Salur TDP leaders and directed them to work together to defeat Rajanna.

When contacted, Sandhya Rani said, “We have no deviations and we are working together for the benefit of the party. We are committed and disciplined workers. There is no rivalry and we prove our strength in this constituency in the ensuing elections.”
