Minister Narayana launches Anna canteen in Gudur
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana formally launched Anna canteen in Gudur town on Sunday He said that they state government had planned to provide food to around 215 lakh people per day through these canteens across the state
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana formally launched Anna canteen in Gudur town on Sunday. He said that they state government had planned to provide food to around 2.15 lakh people per day through these canteens across the state.
He lauded services of Akshayapatra Foundation for coming forward to cook food for the canteens. The state government has been paying its share of Rs. 58 per person as subsidy. The minister said that he would consider request of the local legislator to open one more canteen in the town.
He said out of Rs. 14.5 crore under SC/ST sub plan only Rs. 4.5 crore were spent and asked the officials to utilise remaining amount by the end of December. He also said they had allocated Rs. 96 crore for Gudur town under Critical Infrastructure Investment Plan (CIIP). He asked the heads of municipal schools to prepare children to get 10/10 GPA in the SSC exams. Local legislator P Sunil Kumar and others were present.
