Visakhapatnam: Opposition leader and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy appealed to the officials of SIT, which is probing attack on him at Vizag airport on October 25, to postpone recording of his statement.

According to YSRCP city president Malla Vijaya Prasad, a letter from Jaganmohan Reddy was handed over to Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The party sources said that in his letter, Jagan had stated that he had filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking direction from the court for a probe in the attack by a third party, citing his mistrust of Andhra Pradesh police and the government.

As the writ petition is posted for hearing on November 27, Jaganmohan Reddy had asked the SIT officials to postpone registering of his statement till November 27, the sources added.
