Members of the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists APUWJ have felicitated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Roads and Buildings guest house here on Saturday, for announcing a housing scheme for the journalists in the state

Anantapur: Members of the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) have felicitated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Roads and Buildings guest house here on Saturday, for announcing a housing scheme for the journalists in the state.
In a statement, APUWJ Vice-President Mathsya Ramalinga Reddy has thanked the Chief Minister for taking several initiatives for the welfare of journalists and for even considering a pension scheme.
JAAP state President H Azad and Information Minister Kalava Srinivasulu was also present. In another programme, Chandrababu has received several petitions from the public. Farmers urged the Chief Minister to grant higher compensation for the lands acquired from them for Mid-Pennar dam.
A group of students requested the Chief Minister to appoint a full time Vice-Chancellor for Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU). Victims of AgriGold scam urged Naidu for speedy justice to them.
A machine to replace manual scavenging dubbed as ‘Bandicoot’ which was invented by Kerala students attracted the attention of the Chief Minister, which was exhibited at the site.
Tadipatri municipality acquired the machine and introduced the same in their town. Naidu impressed by the machine said he would consider introducing the machine in all civic bodies to replace manual scavenging.
