Vijayawada: Various tourism promotion events conducted by department of tourism in the capital region of Amaravati in November concluded on Sunday with the end of three-day Air Show.
The tourism department was busy with hectic schedule this festival season by conducting Social Media Summit on November 9 and 10 in the city, to be followed by F1H2O boat racing in Krishna river from November 16 to 18 and finally the Air Show from November 23 to 25.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu complimented Mukesh Kumar Meena for the successful conduct of tourism promotional events and putting the Amaravati city on international map.
A large number of people watched the boat race in Krishna river. Social media summit also evoked huge response as celebrities like Kareena Kapur became a centre of attraction for the event. Under the supervision of Mukesh Kumar Meena, IAS, the secretary of tourism department, the officials successfully organised the mega events.
Krishna district collector B Lakshmikantham, Vijayawada municipal commissioner J Nivas, commissioner of police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and other officials extended full co-operation in successful conduct of three main events.
