Polytechnic candidates are eligible to AP Police constable recruitment: APAT

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal (APAT) on 6 December, directed AP government to accept the applications of the Polytechnic candidates for the Police constable recruitment.
In the recent notification, AP government has given Intermediate as the eligibility qualification. For some candidates who have studied Polytechnic Diploma courses and their candidature have been rejected at the time of scrutiny as the Polytechnic courses are not equivalent to Intermediate.
On this issue, S Raghuram of Vijayanagaram and 8 more knocked the door APAT, on the hearing case the Tribunal directed AP Principal Secretary, State level police recruiter, DGPs, East Godavari district collector to file a counter with complete details and the Tribunal adjourned for 4 Weeks.
