RDO alerts Revenue staff over cyclone threat
With the heavy rain forecast due to cyclone threat in the next two days Kakinada RDO L Raghu Babu alerted the Revenue staff in all the mandals under Kakinada revenue division
Kakinada: With the heavy rain forecast due to cyclone threat in the next two days Kakinada RDO L. Raghu Babu alerted the Revenue staff in all the mandals under Kakinada revenue division.
The RDO conducted teleconference with MROs, VAOs, and other revenue staff of Kakinada rural, Kakinada urban, Pedapudi, Karapa, Kajuluru, Samarlakota, Pithapuram, Golaprolu mandals to be more vigilant in respective areas particularly in coastal villages.
The RDO also directed the Revenue staff to be in coordination with the police and the municipal staff in urban areas and panchayat secretaries in villages.
Raghu Babu also directed the staff to shift the people to identified cyclone shelters as and when the need arises.
The staff were also directed s to be in touch with the police along the sea coast in fishermen hamlets and villages and fishing harbour areas and take all the measures for prevention of fishermen from, venturing in to sea for fishing.
