Guntur: Municipal Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar inspected condition of the roads at Kankaragunta Road, Lakshmipuram and RTC Bus Stand in Guntur city on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, he directed the officials to see that no untoward incidents will take place due to rain.
He expressed ire on the AEs for rain water stagnation on the roads at RUBs in the city and instructed them to divert rainwater into the drains.
He warned the officials with stern action if they work without responsibility. He instructed the GMC SE to supervise the works personally.
He also directed the town planning and engineering officials to work with coordination and remove fallen tree branches.
He also directed them to remove cloth banners and take steps to properly distribute drinking water. GMC officials also accompanied him.
