Religious fervour marks Dwadasi Chakrasnanam

Tirumala: In connection with Vaikuntha Dwadasi, Dwadasi Chakrasnanam was performed in the holy Swami Pushkarini (temple tank) waters during the wee hours on Wednesday.

The anthropomorphic form of Lord, Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar, was brought from Srivari temple on a celestial procession and taken to Swami Pushkarini which is located on the banks of Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy temple where series of rituals including Abhishekam was performed before immersing the holy disc in the tank waters amidst chanting of hymns from scriptures, between 4.30 am and 5.30 am. TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal and Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju took part in this celestial fete.
