Guntur: The Mangalagiri police on Monday arrested four persons who involved in cricket betting and seized one laptop, four cell phones and Rs 5.6 lakh cash from their possession.
Addressing media in Mangalagiri town on Monday, Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao said that the accused Maddigonda Naveen, Mupparthi Srikanth, Rachabathula Venkateswara Rao and Potla Nagarjuna of Mangalagiri were involved in cricket betting.
Based on the information, Mangalagiri CI Krishnaiah and his team took four into custody and seized Rs 5.6 lakh cash and four cell phones, and instruments used for cricket betting.
