Kakinada: East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni asked the police officers to strictly follow the guidelines of Election Commission in the forthcoming elections in the state. Addressing the police officers at district police conference hall on Monday, the SP said the police should ensure confidence in voters to exercise their franchise without any fear.
The SP hinted the conduct of Palle Nidra to know the problems of rural population. He said strict vigil is being maintained at the 10 inter-district and inter-state check-posts in East Godavari as part of beefing up security measures. The SP said that special focus has been laid on interior areas in agency and in Maoist influenced areas along Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
