Madanapalle: AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has visited Chittoor district on Monday. During his tour, Naidu has participated in the Jalaharati programme to Handri Neeva project.
With Rs 4,412 Cr Naidu has also inaugurated welfare development programmes in Madanapalle, and at the same time, he has facilitated the Handri Neeva project engineers.
Speaking at the public meeting, CM Naidu said that he has freed Madanapallie from water problem. As there was no water facility in the area, many have migrated to other places. Now the situation will be changed.
In 1996, first-time Handri Neeva project works have started. For the interlinking of the irrigation projects I have been working hard day and night, Naidu said.
My intention is to provide water for everyone. For 12 lift irrigation project's 550 megawatts electricity is required and Naidu expressed happiness for releasing water to Madanapalli.
The Rayalaseema drought conditions have changed with the water release to Madanapalli, Chandrababu Naidu said.
