Vijayawada: The Noor Basha Muslim community people participated in two-day hunger strike camp which commenced here on Thursday, demanding that the state government fulfil their demands.
Speaking on the occasion, APJAC president Sk Dastagiri said the politicians are treating the community as vote bank and ignoring their problems. He said they would vote to the political party which would support them in all aspects.
He demanded that as per the population ratio, they should be given four MLA seats and 2 MP seats.
He demanded the government establish a corporation and release Rs 500 crore for the development of the poor community people.
Poor Dalit Muslims should be given SC status and a decision to this effect should be taken in the Legislative Assembly, he added.
