SangYong Motor Company (SYMC), a part of Mahindra Group, launched Tivoli compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Seoul, South Korea.

First all-new model to be launched by the Korean carmaker after Mahindra took over it, the compact SUV has been developed over a period of four years and boasts trend setting style. “The Tivoli marks a significant new milestone in the growing partnership between Mahindra and SsangYong.
This new SUV epitomizes the spirit of ‘Korea Can Do’ and reflects Ssangyong’s rich legacy of innovation in product development,” said Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group.
We are confident that the Tivoli is poised to drive SsangYong’s growth in the future, he added.
The Tivoli is powered by a 1.6- litre engine that provides seamless driving experience for customers in the cities and on highways .
The company plans to sell close to 100,000 units of the new model annually. Of them, 40,000 units are retailed in Korea market while the remaining units will be for export markets. The model is likely to be launched in India as well.
