Isuzu Motors to start production in 2016
Isuzu Motors to start production in 2016. The Rs 1,500- crore Isuzu Motors’ plant set up in Sri City, Chittoor district for manufacturing of pickup trucks will start its production in April 2016, according to Isuzu Motors India vice chairman Daiichiro Sakamoto.
Tirupati: The Rs 1,500- crore Isuzu Motors’ plant set up in Sri City, Chittoor district for manufacturing of pickup trucks will start its production in April 2016, according to Isuzu Motors India vice chairman Daiichiro Sakamoto.
Speaking at function held to issue certificates to the automobile mechanics trained by the company at Government ITI here on Friday, Sakamoto said that as many as 50 ancillary units would also come in Chittoor and other districts generating more employment.
Stating that Isuzu Motors Sri City unit would provide employment to 2000, he said that the candidates who were successfully completed the training in Government ITI here will be given priority in the employment.
He said his company had provided Rs 55 lakh worth machineries, equipments and also deputed two experts from Isuzu Motors, Japan, to Government ITI, Tirupati, for imparting automobiles training to ITI candidates. So far about 100 ITI candidates in two batches were trained in the five day crash training programme, he added.
Regional deputy director (employment and training) Balasubramanyam said the training programme being imparted in Tirupati ITI with the support of Isuzu will enable the ITI students to know about the latest inventions in automobiles.
“Such specialized training is not available in any institutions in the district,” he said thanking the Isuzu Motors for their gesture to ITI students here.
