Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited have been showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, before their launch in India later this year. Jeep Wrangler is a rugged off-roader while Wrangler Unlimited is a soft off-roader, both will make its way into India via the CBU route.
New Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited is already on sale in the US, where they are available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant sees a 3.6 liter V6 24-Valve VVT engine offering 275 bhp peak power and 359 Nm peak torque. A 2.8 liter turbocharged diesel engine capable of 197 bhp power and 451 Nm torque is also on offer. Both engines are mated to 5 speed automatic gearbox.
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is seen with features that include front one-touch power windows, external temperature display and cruise control. It will receive a host of safety features like ABS, remote anti-theft alarm system, stability control, engine immobilizer and post-collision safety system. Infotainment features include 8 speaker audio system with USB, Bluetooth and Line-in connectivity, USB chargers and 9 speakers audio system.
