In its place are disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Sitting on 16” alloy wheels with ground-clearance at 200mm, the new Tata Nexon receives ceramic side finisher, a contrasting roof and LED tail lamps.
Set to take on Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300 besides the recently introduced Maruti Vitara Brezza in its class, the new Tata Nexon design is explained in the video below by Pratap Bose – Head of Design at Tata Motors.
Tata Nexon engine will be in the form of a new 1.5 liter diesel engine which is rated at 110 PS. It will be mated to a five speed gearbox as standard and there is also a possibility of 5 speed AMT on offer. In addition to this, Nexon will also get 3 driving modes – City, Sport and ECO.
Features on board the new Tata Nexon includes a 6.5” touchscreen infotainment system from Harman along with 8 speaker surround sound system. The system also includes voice and command recognition besides navigation and display for the reverse camera.
More details will be revealed once the car is closer to launch date, which we expect to be around the festive period of 2016.
