The 2017 Nissan GT-R has been teased ahead of its scheduled world premiere at the 2016 New York Auto Show which is set to commence next week. Nissan India has recently announced that the supercar will go on sale in India this year, so the imminent debut of the next iteration comes as a surprise for Indian fans. Will the Japanese automaker directly launch the updated version in India? We will have to wait and watch.

Coming back to the teaser, only a darkened silhouette of the rear fascia with illuminated taillight has been revealed. The design appears to be pretty much the same but we expect minor nips and tucks. The same can be expected of the interior as well.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R is expected to incorporate an updated infotainment system, a few additional features, and tweaks to the powertrain and dynamics to achieve enhanced driving pleasure and performance.

The current version of the supercar which is known by its nickname Godzilla packs a 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol motor which pumps out 545 PS and 463 Nm of torque. A 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters drive the rear wheels.

More details of the 2017 Nissan GT-R will be available at the time of its debut next week.
