A revamped dashboard, new cabin and a host of updates are expected to be seen on the new Ford EcoSport.

The US-spec 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift could be sourced from India where it will be produced at the company plant in Chennai.

Export data from Zauba reveals that till date 69 units of Ford EcoSport has been exported to the US from India (the latest one being exported as late as 29th Mar 2016). These include a mix of all three engine options which are on sale in India. These are 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder petrol, 1.5-liter TDCi diesel and 1.5-liter Ti-VCT petrol engine.

Despite heavy camouflage, a redesigned front-end was evident on the Ford EcoSport facelift while a new grille was also noted. Exteriors will also include LED daytime running lights, rear mounted spare wheel and new alloys. Interior updates include a redesigned central console, instrument cluster and automatic climate control unit while steering wheel also sported a new design. Larger dials and a multi-information screen were also evident on the EcoSport facelift spied earlier.

Besides launch in the US, the Ford EcoSport facelift also gears up for launch in India. It could come in at an expected price between INR 6-9.5lakhs while it will compete with the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300, Mahindra NuvoSport and upcoming Tata Nexon.
