Most of the visual changes are concentrated on the front fascia. The car gets a slit-like grill, a prominent trapezoidal secondary air dam and new circular fog light enclosures. The turn indicators in the headlamp cluster ditch the clear lens cover in favour of orange tinted ones. The difference in the appearance would go unnoticed by an untrained pair of eyes. There are no sheet metal changes whatsoever.

On the inside, the seat fabrics and door trims are new. The higher variants get a new audio system which fits well with the centre console. The base variant now gets a passenger side wing mirror while the higher variants offer more storage space at the rear in addition to child seat mounts. Feature highlights of the top-end VXi trim include front power windows, central locking, music system, rear spoiler, hubcaps and remote keyless entry. Maruti offers optional driver airbag across all the variants.

The Maruti Alto 800 facelift has already started reaching the dealer yards across the country. Launch should happen anytime now. We don’t see any significant change in the price range.
