The extreme topless variant produces 600 PS.The Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Roadster, a one-off project commissioned by a customer, has been revealed. The most aggressive road-legal Aston roadster was conceived and delivered in a span of 9 months by the marque’s Q division.

This the first full-fledged product to be executed by the ever-expanding bespoke Q department which was initially founded to personalize AM supercars.

Based on the Vantage GT12 Coupe whose production is limited to just 100 units, the one-off open-top Vantage GT12 gets a lot of new carbon fibre bits in its bodywork, bespoke paint job and trim elements. The car also undergoes a number of under the skin modifications to ensure that it feels and behaves like its Coupe sibling.

The Vantage GT12 Roadster unique suspension setup to preserve the Coupe’s sharp ride and handling characteristics. Power comes from a special version of the brand’s famous 6.0-litre V12 naturally aspirated petrol engine which puts out 600 PS. Mated to a 7-speed Sportshift III paddle shift gearbox, the motor features magnesium inlet manifolds with new geometry, magnesium torque tube and a titanium exhaust system.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Roadster demonstrates the strength and width of Q division’s capabilities. The company is hoping to work on several such individualistic projects based on customer requirements.
