Make Up Tips For Summer: Keep Skin Clean. As the Sun plays hide and seek, it\'s time you mastered the perfect make-up look with these tips.

As the Sun plays hide and seek, it's time you mastered the perfect make-up look with these tips:

1. Blot it out

Most women tend to tone down the shine on their faces using a powder puff and face powder that ends up making the skin look patchy, especially if you have a tendency to sweat a lot. Instead, blot forehead, nose, upper chin and the area above the eyebrows with face tissue or blotting papers to absorb oils without disturbing your makeup.

2. Cool Down

Most women in a hurry to get to work on time, start applying their make-up as soon as they finish bathing. If you're hot and sweaty post-shower, spend 10 minutes to let your body cool down before applying makeup. Alternately carry a portable, paper fan to cool off whenever you are all sweaty or keep a rose-water-based facial mist in your handbag for a refreshing boost.

3. Primer Trick

Using a primer helps makeup remain on your skin much longer and this also keeps you from getting oily and greasy during the day. Men can dab a bit of anti-shine gel under or over makeup to take down oily skin.

4. Colour Magic

Do not shy away from colour. Waterproof mascara and a bold red or pink lip colour is hot right now. Keep the eyes minimal but groom your brows. Warm tones like peaches, bronzes and apricots as well as smoky eyes in olive green, bronze and ink blue are also great for summer.

5. Cool Your Make-up

Sometimes make-up items may just melt in extreme heat, so pop them in the fridge or store them in an insulated lunch box that has been chilled in the fridge overnight.
