Hyderabad: T-Hub, Telangana government’s initiative and country’s largest start-up incubator, on Thursday announced its strategic partnership with HSBC. The partnership would leverage on the global innovation ecosystem to apply products and solutions developed by startups into the banking operations of HSBC.

Paul Raddon, Head of Operations, Global Service Centre, HSBC said: “Technology is changing the way customers want to access banking services, so HSBC wants to try new ways of doing things. This collaboration with T-Hub is an opportunity for HSBC to partner with innovative start-ups and to help us deliver products and services that are simpler, better and faster for our customers.”

Jay Krishnan, CEO, T-Hub, adds: “In India, on one hand, the number of startups in the FinTech domain are growing significantly and on the other hand, the government’s initiatives in cashless technologies space has restructured the financial sector. Considering all these changes, we believe that this partnership will help HSBC to explore most innovative startups delivering products and solutions.”

Data driven technologies are increasing quality at reduced cost, and financial institutions are now open to exploring blockchain technology, hence, the financial sector is facing an increase demand to provide user friendly digital and mobile banking services to customers.
