YSRCP cadres told to gear up for local polls

YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma gave a clarion call to the rank and file of the party to work in unison to emerge victorious in the ensuing Panchayat elections. She also suggested to the party's cadres and leaders to fulfil the aspirations of the people and gain their confidence by serving them. She pointed out that YSR had become a popular leader with the blessings of the people as he had always thought about the welfare of the people, especially the rural folk and farmers.

Addressing the regional-level workshop of YSRCP held in a private function hall here on Friday in which party leaders and activists from Nellore, Anantapuramu, Kadapa, Chittoor and Kurnool districts participated, she exuded confidence over the victory of the party in the forthcoming local body polls, but still party leaders and activists should work hard by going to the people and taking up their issues and problems on a priority basis.

"The forthcoming local body polls will provide us a good platform to show our strength. Work together and win maximum number of Panchayats," she exhorted. Activists are the pillars of the party and they should work hard for the party's victory, she said. The YSRCP has been winning all the bypolls and other elections ever since its formation, Vijayamma said.
