Tirupati: The brain storming session of Samaiyandhra Parirakshana Samithi (SAPS) adopted five resolutions in the session held at Tirupati on Sunday and chalked out plans to continue the ongoing agitations till their demand for a united State is met. The president of Visalandhra Mahasabha, N Chakravathi and other delegates of the organization attended this meeting in addition to the participation of delegates from lawyers, doctors, professors, lecturers, students, youth and other professional.

The five resolutions they had adopted are: resignations of elected leaders right from MLA to MLC, MP, State Ministers to Central Ministers; to organise massive public meeting with more than one lakh people in Tirupati on August 29, to hoist Samaikyandhra flag on every house, shop and building; to participate in massive meeting in Hyderabad scheduled on September 7 and condemn to attack on lawyers of Seemandhra region in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Addressing the delegates, Chakravarthi said that the present UPA is in critical situation in number and there are plenty of chances to roll back the decision on Telangana if the elected leaders, especially the Union Ministers and MPs quit their posts. He faulted the logical argument of elected leaders that they should not resign so as to defeat the Telangana Bill if the government tables it in the Parliament. As the majority of UPA at present situation is very poor and the resignations of MPs will certainly affect the attempts to table the bill in parliament, he said.
He also said that many elected leaders were returning empty handed after consulting the senior leaders is disappointing the agitators. He faulted Union Minister Chiranjeevi for suggesting to make Hyderabad city as Union Territory if the division of the State is inevitable. He also pointed that there should be strong coordination between various JACs to continue the ongoing agitations for the cause of unified state on long term basis.
