The three teasers released in the form of making of Baahubali videos had generated a lot of interest and aroused the curiosity of film buff on what could be the story of the film.


There were reports that the film was based on the story of the most revered Jain saint Baahubali. Baahubali also known as Gomateshwara was an Arihant. According to Jainism, he was the second of the hundred sons of the first Tirthankara, Rishabha and king of Podanpur.


A gigantic statue of Baahubali has been erected in Shravanabelagola in Karnataka where thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year.


Now, back to the film Baahubali. The real plot of the film has been kept under wraps by the film-maker. Meanwhile, it is learnt that the title has landed the team in trouble. Followers of Jainism feel that the film is inspired by the life of Baahubali and hence the title. Also, they aren't comfortable with the big battle scenes in the movie based on their revered deity.


The latest buzz is that a petition has been filed against the film-maker demanding that the title of the movie be changed.
