To star in the Telugu remake of Malayalam super hit ‘Drishyam’ that featured Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal in the lead
Unperturbed by the lackluster shows of his previous films – ‘Masala’ and ‘Bodyguard’ – which are in fact remakes, Superstar Venkatesh will be trying his hands again at a remake. The film in question is the Malayalam hit of 2013, ‘Drishyam’. Featuring Mohan Lal in the film, it was a thriller that stands as of one of the biggest grossing films of Malayalam cinema till date.
The remake will be helmed by former actress Sripriya. Suresh Productions will be producing the venture along with Wide Angle Creations and Rajkumar Theaters Pvt Ltd. Meanwhile, Sripriya is currently awaiting the release of her Telugu-Tamil bilingual ‘Malini 22’ which sees Nithya Menen in the lead role. It releases on January 24 in both Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
