Pawan Kalyan: Industry is for everyone

Superstar Pawan Kalyan, who was the chief guest at the audio launch of ‘Rey’ in Hyderabad on Friday, said that new breed of youngsters should enter the ‘industry’. “It is for everyone and doesn’t belong to any one person or one particular family, including mine,” he said to a rousing reception from his fans.

Speaking about his nephew Sai Dharam Tej, who is making his debut as an actor with ‘Rey’, he said, “While he was pursuing MBA, he came to me and spoke about his interest in acting. I said that acting should come from within and not because your family is into films. I advised him to be honest, passionate and hard working to win the hearts of the people.

The best I did for him is to enroll him at Barry John’s Acting Institute at Mumbai.” He added he was nowhere associated with the project except for “giving moral strength to the team”. “I know YVS since a long time. He even planned to launch me, though things didn’t go according to the plan. He is a persistent person as he believes in surging ahead with his conviction. When he approached me with the proposal of introducing Sai, I said he is a free bird and that he can narrate the story to him.”

AD, a hit on the idiot box too

Meanwhile, ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’(AD) has managed to break all the existing TRP ratings for a Telugu movie when it was screened at a popular entertainment channel recently. This is a unique feat for a film which also stands as the biggest grossing Tollywood film till date. It has managed to attain 19.04 TRP ratings. A visibly excited producer BVSN Prasad attributed the film’s success on small screen to the craze of actor Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram Srinivas.
