Sudeep paid a bomb

Kannada Superstar Sudeep, who enthralled both Telugu and Tamil audience with his villainous outing in ‘Eega’, has been reportedly paid a bomb to feature alongside Vijay in a fantasy drama that will go on floors soon. The actor, who will play a role on par with Vijay, is said to have charged Rs 6 crore for the project, making him one of the highest paid Kannada stars till date Sudeep said, "It belongs to the adventure-fantasy genre. It's a very well-crafted script and the first of its kind for me. ‘Naan Ee’ (‘Eega’ in Telugu) got me a respectable position two years back, but I still stuck to films here in Sandalwood (Kannada industry). So it has nothing to do with highs and lows. It's about a script and character that can be exciting.” Expected to feature the likes of Sridevi, Deepika Padukone and Shruti Haasan too, the unofficial title of the film is ‘Vijay 58’.
