There’s no stopping Mahesh

Days after the first teaser of Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘Aagadu’ went viral on the virtual world, the film’s satellite rights, we hear, were acquired for a record price. A leading general entertainment channel had to shell out Rs 9. 75 crores for the rights, it is learnt. ‘The actioner beat Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’s price of Rs 9 crore by MAA network.

The reason for the exorbitant price, it is said, is due to the combination of Mahesh Babu and Sreenu Vaitla, the duo who’ve collaborated for ‘Dookudu’, the film which still runs to great TRPs on MAA. When Hans Talkies contacted one of the producers Ram Achanta of ‘Aagadu’ for a confirmation, he neither confirmed nor denied the happening.
