Allu Ramalingaiah was a comedian who appearance of the comedians on the screen would make audience giggle. The Indian Telugu language comedic actor from Palakollu, worked in over 200 telugu films.
The Padma Shri awardee began his film career in 1953 with the movie 'Puttillu'. He played a soft and unhated villain with the likes of Raogopal Rao and Nagabhushanam, was awarded the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award. An actor with amazing comic timing, was also a homeopathic doctor. He was also freedom fighter who was arrested by the British during Quit India Movement.
The legendary actor is remembered for his acting skills by telugu audience who pay tribute to him on 10th death anniversary today.A statue of Rama Lingaiah has been recently unveiled on Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam.
