Many people wonder about the possible historical link between India and Korea. As per the archeological surveys and history books, the cultural connection between the two beautiful countries is dated back over 3000 years. There is a legendary story, where it is believed that a Korean King called Kim Suro married a gorgeous Indian princess Sriratna, who belonged to Ayodhya.

Last evening Mumbai witnessed same age old story where Princess of Ayodhya Sriratna was played by Supermodel Jesse Randhawa and the King of the Gaya Kingdom of Korea, Kim Suro was depicted by Dance Maestro Sandip Soparrkar. This was the first ever dance performance based on Indo-Koreon love story of 78AD called "Enchanted Love" held around the Valentine’s Day to spread a beautiful message of Love to the audiences.

The musical showed how two people from different cultures and origins fall in love with each other without any discrimination on basis of culture, colour or caste. Sandip Soparrkar was seen using a huge Sword and Buchaechum also known as Korean hand fans to portray his character of the Korean king, while Jesse Randhawa was seen dancing with a Matka and loads of Indian jewellery to play her character of an Indian Princess, who dreamt of falling in love with a man outside her land. The dance drama aptly signified true love and was a truly mesmerizing.

Sandip Soparrkar said, "I am glad that I could bring out a wonderful message through my dance play and very grateful for everyone who came to encourage us, the standing ovation was heartwarming."

The grand musical 'Enchanted Love' was opened by Bollywood actress Varsha Usgaonkar, who was seen dressed in the colours of love and purity and sashayed the role of narrator in the dance drama. She played the sutradhar of the story very aptly. She said, "Playing the role of narrator was so exciting for me. This story teaches us many things in life, being honest and thoughtful to our loved ones of course marry for love and for no other reason. I am overwhelmed with the response of the play."

The show was organized to make a charitable donation to the Iccha Foundation headed by Mr Anand Chavan, where even renowned classical dancer Vijayshree Chaudhary performed a beautiful Surdas Padh through kathak. Witnessing all the excitement in the audience were known celebrities like actors Shraddha Nigam, Jassi Kaur, Mayank Anand, Nakul Mehta, Madhurima Nigam was seen with her mother and not with her husband Sonu Nigam and many more.

Sandip Soparrkar and his troupe brought this historic story alive on stage with extravagant costumes, props and some breadth taking dance moves, which enthralled the audience and won them a standing ovation. It is rare to see such detailed study on a subject and bringing it on stage in form of a dance drama is truly inspiration.
