Pradeep Nandan, a native of Nellore, was in Intermediate when the acting bug bit him. Nearly 15 years later, at the age of 30, not only has he fulfilled the dream but has also managed to become a director with upcoming flick ‘Jagganatakam’.“I play an aspiring actor in the film and after I am signed by a popular director, I go home to celebrate but find my father dead and sister missing. The story moves forward from there,” he shares.

Having worked as an assistant director (AD) for ‘Prayanam’, he says it was all for experience. “I wanted some hands on experience before making a film on my own. And moreover, being an AD is a mechanical job and I wasn’t game for it,” adds Pradeep. When quizzed if it was tough being an actor and director at the same go, pat comes the reply. “Not at all! I was able to manage it with ease.”Would he continue to direct in future? “I will. But I also love acting and will not leave it behind. However, in my next my main focus will be on direction,” he says.
