Richa, who last attended the Cannes gala for ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express her feelings following the screening of ‘Masaan’ on Tuesday night. “Got teary at the 5 minute-long standing ovation. Thank you everyone. @ghaywan, first thanks to you,” Richa posted on Tuesday night, along with a video of the applause.

Sharing his proud moment at Cannes, Ghaywan tweeted, “Broke down at the unstoppable applause. Thanks everyone! Missed you so much @anuragkashyap72, editor @nitin_baid, DP @avinasharun20! #Masaan. (sic)” “I am buried under so many mentions.

This is going to take a while. But thank you each and everyone for all the love for #Masaan (sic),” he added. Set in Varanasi, ‘Masaan’ follows the stories of four people from a small town and how they fit in to the moralities. It also features Shweta Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra and Vicky Kaushal.
