Naga AnveshAll of 23, actor Naga Anvesh is living the dream of finally making the big screen debut with his father’s production ‘Vinavayya Ramayya’ and he says he’s glad to have started his journey with the film. “My dad and I discussed what would be an ideal launch.

While action movies are a fad these days, my father felt that to carry off those roles, the hero needs a certain image which I don’t have and so we decided to work on a love story weaved in with family emotions,” he shares. “I’m playing a mischievous and lovelorn boy in the flick”.

When quizzed if he underwent training for the film, he informs, “Yes. In fact, ever since I was a child, everything I have been doing has been a learning process. But at a point, my dad felt that I lacked exposure as I was living in a guarded atmosphere at home and I was sent to Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Woods in Mumbai where I learnt the nuances of acting.”

Anvesh, who was seen as superstar Venkatesh’s kid in ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’ more than two decades ago, recalls cameraperson Rasool complimenting him. “He told me that when they shot with me on the first day, he was a bit irked that they have to shoot with me till the end of the film as he wasn’t impressed with what he saw.

Towards the end he came up to me and told me how he felt in the beginning and said that he was very happy to see me improving so much,” recalls Anvesh. The happiest thing the young lad cherishes about the film is the “training sessions” his dad Krishna Reddy gave him. “We would record the day’s scenes in the iPad and he would then check where I had to pick up. It had become a daily routine.”

While the movie’s shoot was like a big holiday, Anvesh shares an incident that led him to injuring his finger. “This happened during the last three days of shoot. We were filming the ‘Bheegi Bheegi’ song and there were these really huge fans being used on the sets. The stylist was grooming my hair and the fans were causing a lot disturbance.

He asked the production boys to move them and instinctively I stretched my hand to do it. In a matter of seconds, my hand went inside and I was hurt. It’s been two months and it is yet to heal,” he says showing his wounded finger.
