Swathi ReddyAt 28, Swathi has acted in 28 films and has completed a decade industry— a rarity for a Telugu girl in contemporary times. "10 years, oh my God, I just realised it. Time indeed flies,” the actress beams.

After her super hit talk show ‘Colours’ on a leading general entertainment channel, Swathi made a switch to films by featuring in Krishna Vamsi’s thriller ‘Danger’ (2005). Describing her journey as beautiful, she shares, “It’s been a great phase and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Initially, I was naïve and used to get horrified with the gossips that were written on me but I learnt to deal with them later.

I was able to do so many films because I entered industry at an early stage of life. The opportunity to get into showbiz was so exciting, that I couldn't let it pass by.” Her breakthrough project, however, was ‘Ashta Chamma’ and since then there was no looking back for the petite actress. Talking about crucial milestones in her journey she says, “Yes, ‘Ashta Chamma’ was the highest point of my career.

The enormous success of ‘Subramaniapuram’ opened up me to explore Kollywood. I started getting interesting projects in Malayalam too. Then it was about sustaining what I have done earlier. I returned to Telugu with ‘Swamy Ra Ra’, which was a super hit, followed by ‘Karthikeya’, and I’m now looking forward to ‘Tripura’. I experimented with roles, tried various genres and I’m happy with the way things panned out in my travel.”
