In what will be her ticket to big league, Pragya Jaiswal, who received accolades for her classic portrayal of Seetha Devi in ‘Kanche’, is the front-runner to star alongside Ravi Teja in ‘Yevado Okadu’.
“Pragya had a meeting with Dil Raju and director Venu Sreeram on Friday evening in Hyderabad. She was narrated her character outline and she is pretty okay with it. She will be required to play an urban girl who will get to romance Ravi. Her signing is a mere formality,” said a source close to the development.
That’s not it. The model-turned-actress, who has a law degree to her name, is also in contention to romance Gopichand for AM Jyothi Krishna’s comeback venture. “She is in negotiations to play the part for the past one week. Jyothi Krishna was looking for someone who matches Gopi’s height and Pragya fitted the bill. She is more or less confirmed,” confirmed another source. In AM Jyothi Krishna’s film, Pragya will play the second fiddle to Raashi Khanna.
Looks like the Jabalpur-beauty is here to stay!
