The veteran Gujarati actress Ketki Dave’s talent can just not be questioned. From her epic character in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ to ‘Mahakumbh’, the actress has donned many avatars and mesmerised the audience with her performances.

But there was a time when she decided to quit acting and focus on her personal life! Ketki, who’s currently gearing up to play the role of a strict grand mom on Star Plus’ ‘Tamanna’, shared an unbelievable tale with us…

“Belonging to a family of actors, I was always encouraged about my profession. I was never asked to withdraw from my professional life just because of my gender. But after my marriage, I was reluctant about continuing as I felt that I was ignoring my family and husband. I even thought of calling it quits. But it was my husband, who supported me and asked me not to take a random decision.

Even after the birth of my daughter, I was not sure whether I should pursue acting or not. Thankfully, even then, my husband comforted me stating that together we can manage and can give a healthy upbringing to our daughter,” the actress said.

“Now when I look back to those days, I wonder what I would have done without my husband’s reassuring words. He has been my support system throughout. Even my in-laws have always been there for me. Now, older and wiser, I realise that a supportive family is needed for any individual to sustain in life,” she added.

So, what has been your success mantra for a blissful, successful life? “Balance is the key, I believe. One has to always balance between her or his personal life and work life,” she said.
