UBA Pro Basketball League
It was a fusion of Basketball and Bollywood when Kareena Kapoor-Khan and Arjun Kapoor came down to cheer the players on the inaugural day of the UBA Pro Basketball League “Hyderabad is one of my favourite places in the world,” said Kareena Kapoor-Khan and expressed her happiness in returning to the city much to the joy of the people here.
She was speaking at the inauguration of the second phase of the UBA Pro Basketball League Season 2 at Gachibowli Stadium on Wednesday as part of the promotion for ‘Ki&Ka’ along with co-star Arjun Kapoor, who extended his best wishes to the teams and recalled his dream to be a basketball player.
On the first day, the tournament delivered all the drama and sports fun it promised with a closely fought encounter between Haryana Gold and Delhi Capitals in which the latter beat the former 68-66. This was followed by the tie between Mumbai Challengers and Punjab Steelers.
Up ahead
Basketball fans in the city have ten exciting days ahead with free entry to each match. In tomorrow’s matches Pune Peshwas will take on Hyderabad Sky and Chennai Slam will take on Bengaluru Beast. Pro Basketball will continue for the next ten days in the thick of the action featuring play offs, semi-finals and the finals.
