Pawan Kalyan’s next now gets a new director Dolly. It will go on floors in the last week of July

Director SJ Suryah has exited Pawan Kalyan’s next to focus on his acting career, which is on ascendance after the release of his recent Tamil film ‘Iraivi’. Dolly aka Kishore Pardasani, who worked with Pawan for ‘Gopala Gopala’, has been handed over the project, a remake of Tamil hit ‘Veeram’.

In a statement, the production house Northstar Entertainment said that Suryah has approached Pawan to adjust the shooting schedules of their coming together yet-untitled project in view of his acting assignments but as this would only lead to delay of the project, it was mutually agreed that Suryah makes way for some other director. Although Suryah had many options to offer as his replacement, Pawan, after having a word with producer Sharrath Marar, decided to have Dolly on board.

While Northstar Entertainment failed to disclose what acting assignments led Suryah to exit the project, grapevine has it that the filmmaker-turned-actor’s participation in Mahesh Babu-AR Murugadoss project, which rolls shortly, didn’t go down well with producer Marar who wanted a director who gives his film 100 per cent. Northstar Entertainment further said the pre-production is in full swing and the film will roll by July-end.
